Recent events show once again that the Azerbaijani people will never and under no circumstances agree with the loss of their lands.

Thus, on July 12, 2020, starting from noon the armed forces of Armenia once again grossly violating the ceasefire, attempted to attack using artillery to fire in the direction of Tovuz district of our country on the border with Armenia in order to seize the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Tovuz is located 300 km from the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, not in Karabakh.

Continued provocative actions for aggression and occupation by Armenia that does not fulfill the UN Security Council Resolutions #822, 853, 874 and 884, ignores the resolutions of the UN General Assembly adopted in 2006 and 2008 on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, the calls of the UN, WHO and other influential international organizations in connection with the pandemic, as well as the norms and principles of international law, grossly violating fundamental human rights, including the right to life, and creating a more dangerous situation in the region, should be strongly condemned by international organizations and peace-loving states; serious sanctions should be imposed on Armenia.

This is not the first time Armenia has committed military provocations on the state border. As a result of these military provocations in the last few months, our servicemen, as well as civilians, have been killed.

Suddenly, our military post came under artillery fire, our servicemen were killed and wounded, Major General Polad Khashimov and Colonel Ilgar Mirzoev heroically died.

Unfortunately, the losses were not limited to this: Major Namik Akhmadov and Anar Novruzov, ensigns Ilgar Zeynalli and Yashar Babayev and soldier Elchin Mustafazade were also killed.

As a result of the intensive shelling of Dondar Gushchu and Aghdam villages of the Tovuz region for four days by the Armenian Armed Forces, significant damage was caused to private homes and households of the civilian population.

The shells fired by the Armenian Armed Forces destroyed the roofs of houses, smashed windows and some living quarters became completely uninhabitable.

Bullet marks on the fences and walls of rural houses, shell fragments in the courtyards are indisputable evidence that the enemy was aiming at civilians.

But despite all this, civilians do not leave their homes, continue to remain on the front line face to face with the enemy army.

As a result of the shelling of civilians in Aghdam village of Tovuz region, carried out on July 14 by units of the Armenian Armed Forces, one of the shells hit the yard of a 76-year-old resident of the village Aziz Azizov, as a result of which he died.

It treacherously and suddenly organized an attack using artillery, as a result of which our soldiers were killed and injured. The necessary measures were immediately taken and a retaliation operation was carried out, resulting in the killing of dozens of enemy soldiers and destruction of their equipment.

The enemy firing positions, a radar station, a reconnaissance unit, a parking lot for military vehicles, a tank, an armored personnel carrier, a battalion headquarters and military infrastructure were destroyed by the precision strike of the Azerbaijani army.

In order to celebrate our military victory, thousands of people took to the streets. Thousands of people supported the state and the army. This beautiful picture was a symbol of civil consent.

Azerbaijan is a strong state, there is a strong government in Azerbaijan with a strong will, and most importantly, there is support of the people. These days, Azerbaijan has felt strong international support.

So, all these issues show again that Azerbaijan has turned into a huge force in the international plane, within the country and in the fight against its notorious neighbors.

Extremely aggressive provocative actions towards Azerbaijan are observed from the part of the Armenian radical forces.

A number of provocations were also committed against the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan in France, Great Britain, Sweden, Poland, Australia, USA, the Netherlands, Belgium.
