A visit of Rashad Ismayilov Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi and the delegation of Adjara Autonomous Republic to Nakhchivan.

On June 11-14,2016 the Chairman of the Government of the Adjara Autonomous Republic  Archil Habadze and his delegation visited to Nakhchivan in order to expand the cooperation and the close relations between  two sides with the invitation of the Chairman of  Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. During the visit,the delegation was accompanied by Rashad Ismayilov the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Batumi.

On the first day of the visit, the Chairman of the Goverment of Adjara Autonomous Republic Archil Habadze and his delegation, the main square of the city of Nakhchivan of Azerbaijan's national leader, founder and architect of independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev  laid flowers at the monument of National Leader,founder and archticet of inependent Azerbaijan Haydar Aliyev at  the main square of the city of Nakhvhivan and paid tribute to the memory of his great personality. The guests visited the Heydar Aliyev Museum. They were informed about Heydar Aliyev's life,  different periods of his multilateral political and public activities.Chairman of the Government of Adjara Autonomous Republic of Georgia Archil Habadze signed the guest book.

Then the meeting was held between delegations with the participation of  Chairman of  Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov and the Chairman of the Goverment of Adjara Autonomous Republic Archil Habadze.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly said that friendship and cooperation  between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Adjara Autonomous Republic were founded in 2012 and  continued succesffully and as a continuation of these ties thanked to Chairman of Goverment of Adjara for accepting invitation and visiting to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

 the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly said that relations between  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Adjara Autonomous Republic were expanding year by year through the efforts of the two sides. At present, relations in the field of trade-economic, health and education showed that there was great potential for cooperation. Both higher education institutions of the autonomous republics – the relations between Batumi State University and Nakhchivan State University  have created a good basis for cooperation in the field of education. We attach great importance to the relations in the field of health. A visit of adjarian children to Nakhichivan, for the treatment is the expression of  the healthy growth of both sides. This year we will also continue  the treatment of adjarian children. Deepening cooperation have necessitated the establishment of direct transport links. The new Nakhchivan-Batumi bus route was opened. All of these will ensure close ties between the two autonomous republics. "Our relations are fraternal relationship" - said the Chairman of the Supreme Council and underlined that we will increase efforts to expand relation in other areas of Nakhchivan-Ajarian relations as part of Azerbaijan-Georgia relations.

Chairman of the Government of Adjara Autonomous Republic Archil Habadze thanked to Chairman of the Supreme Assembly for invitation to Nakhchivan and  warm attitude  said that he was pleased to be in Nakhchivan. The guest said that the mutual visits between the two autonomous republics, the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between the cities of Batumi and Nakhchivan showed its results and  relations have developed rapidly in the last times.Today available condition  exists for business and investment between Nakhchivan and Adjara Autonomous Republics. At present,the relations in the economic-trade, education, health and transport sectors are being developed.

Stressing  satisfied economic potential of Nakhchivan Archil Habadze underlined that we would do our best efforts for developing bilateral relations in the future.
