This year, 350 athletes from 45 countries are participating in the European Weightlifting Championship tournament held in Batumi on April 19–26.
Azerbaijani athletes are also joining the fight: Isa Rustamov (71 kg) competed on April 20 and Ravin Almammedov (79 kg) competed on April 21.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi supported the athletes during the competition days and provided moral encouragement for their successful performance in the international arena.
