Brief information on diplomatic relations:
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia were established on November18, 1992. On February 1995, was opened the Embassy of Georgia to Azerbaijan in Baku, and on March of 1996 the embassy of Azerbaijan Republic was opened in Tbilisi.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Azer Huseyn (since 24.06.2011), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan, Teimuraz sharashidze (since17.01.2011).
Consulate General of Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi started its activity in 2010. Consul General of Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi is Rashad Ismailov.
By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev dated february 19, 2018, Parviz Ismayilzade was appointed Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Georgia.
