On 09.04.2026, a meeting was held with students of Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University and Grigol Robakidze University, located in Batumi, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi.

The main purpose of the event was to promote strategic partnership and good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia among students and young people, to increase awareness of existing opportunities in the fields of tourism, urban planning and international cooperation, as well as to familiarize students with practical knowledge and experience that will contribute to their future professional activities.

In his speech, the Consul General extensively touched upon the results of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to Georgia on April 6, 2026. It was noted that the high-level meetings held within the framework of the visit and the joint press statement with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, demonstrated the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries. In this regard, the organization of the aforementioned student meeting immediately after this visit is of particular importance in terms of strengthening mutual relations at the youth level.

The event continued in an interactive format, and the questions of interest to the students were answered in detail by the Consul General. During the discussions, increasing the students' level of awareness about Azerbaijan, future cooperation opportunities and prospects for joint projects were widely discussed.

At the end, a commemorative photo was taken with the participants, and the meeting ended in an atmosphere of mutual satisfaction and high spirits.
