On November 8, 2016 Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rashad Ismayilov met with the mayor of Batumi city Georgi Yermakov in Batumi City Hall.

Rashad Ismayilov gave an  information to the mayor of Batumi city about the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia. He also stressed that after the “Brotherhood and Cooperation Memorandum” between Nakhchivan and Batumi cities political, economic and tourism relations are developing between two regions. It was said that in the near future various events would be held for improving economic and cultural cooperation with the city of Batumi and popularize Azerbaijani culture in this city.

In the end of meeting the sides exchanged views on the projects that could be carried out in framework of bilateral cooperation.
