On 09.03.2026 an iftar dinner was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

On 09.03.2026, on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi organized an iftar dinner with the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps operating in Batumi and representatives of local religious communities.

The event was held at the “Grand Gloria Hotel” in Batumi and took place in the spirit of sincerity, mutual respect and cooperation. The iftar ceremony was attended by representatives of Turkey, Kazakhstan and Georgia, the Consul General of Turkey in Batumi, vi.i.e. Banu Terzioglu, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Batumi, the Mufti of Western Georgia of the Georgian Muslims Department, Haji Adam Shantadze, leaders of local religious communities, as well as active members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.

The event was opened by the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Fuad Azizov. In his speech, the Consul General emphasized that the Holy Month of Ramadan has a special spiritual significance in the Islamic world, and that this month calls people to mercy, sharing, mutual respect and solidarity.

The Iftar ceremony continued in an atmosphere of sincere exchange of views and informal communication among the participants, and the event ended in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
