On 17.02.2026, the Mayor of Kobuleti Municipality Irakli Chechkhladze, together with the First Deputy Mayor Gela Gogitidze, held a meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Fuad Azizov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for future cooperation, opportunities for expanding relations in the tourism, cultural-humanitarian and economic spheres, as well as ways to further deepen partnership relations. An agreement was reached to continue contacts on projects of mutual interest.
It is stated that the issues noted by the Consulate General will be taken into consideration and that the necessary steps will be taken towards the development of cooperation.
