On 23 March 2026, the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi organized an event on the occasion of Novruz holiday at the Grand Gloria Hotel. The event began with the opening speech of the Consul General. After the official part, the event continued with a rich cultural program. Musical numbers performed by the well-known Azerbaijani singer, Honored Artist Sabina Babayeva, as well as various show programs and games reflecting our national customs and traditions, gave the participants unforgettable moments. In the entrance area of the Grand Gloria Hotel, along with Azerbaijani national costumes, attributes reflecting our rich cultural heritage and ancient musical instruments, khonchas decorated with the symbol of spring were arranged with special taste.
The ceremony of lighting the Novruz bonfire, one of the most significant symbols of the holiday, added a special color to the event. The event was remembered with high spirits, mutual respect and pleasant impressions, and ended with expressions of gratitude and satisfaction from the participants.
